Thank you San Antonio

for supporting the 2008 Empty Bowls Event

Benefiting SAMMinistries this past May.

The San Antonio Potters Guild’s 8th Annual Empty Bowls event raised a record amount of $26,000 for SAMMinistries -- $5,740 more than raised the year before. This total included more than 2,000 bowls donated by area potters, hand-crafted ceramic and multimedia items donated for the silent auction by local and Texas artists, as well as donations by local businesses and corporations. The amount raised also doubled to $52,000 due to the generous matching grant to SAMM made this year by local philanthropist Genevieve L. Duncan.

With the 2008 total, the Guild has raised more than $152,000 over the last seven years for this charity.
